Sol Goldstein v. Frank Collin, et al.
On June 27, 1977, Sol Goldstein, a Skokie resident and Holocaust survivor, and the Anti Defamation League (ADL) file a class-action suit in the Cook County Circuit Court to permanently ban Nazis from marching in Skokie, “while wearing or displaying Nazi insignia”.
On January 27, 1978, the Illinois Supreme Court lifts the remainder of the injunction banning a neo-Nazi march, Skokie v. National Socialist Party of America.
The court also dismiss Goldstein v. Collin.
